Is there any reason to celebrate??

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! 61 years and we have another anniversary to be celebrated but we seem to still search for a reason to be ecstatic about this special day.

Happenings in the recent past certainly does leave each Indian thinking as to where we are heading to. Inflation Exploding just as bombs have been in several places. Prices going a little out of control, so are the politicians and on the entertainment and the sports front there has not been much happening to feel happy about except for Abhinav getting the Gold for India [Congratulations... :)]

The root cause for all these as i see is the lack of proper governance. Politicians are merely seen as a ruler or the decision maker where as democracy is not about ruling!!!
Its high time the government concentrated more on governance than making merry out of what they have [;)]. They should step down to level where they act as facilitator and not just a beneficiary. Lets hope we have our politicians realize this and work towards building a great bonding between the state and their people.

I hope next time i say "Saare jahan se accha.. Hindusitaan humara" i don't have to think twice to say it loud and proud.

Jai Hind!!

Hope you had the time of your life!!

Another turning point;
a fork stuck in the road.

Time grabs you by the wrist;
directs you where to go.

So make the best of this test
and don't ask why.

It's not a question
but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs
and still frames in your mind.

Hang it on a shelf
In good health and good time.

Tattoos of memories
and dead skin on trial.

For what it's worth,
it was worth all the while.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
- Green Day

How true is each line and I am sure each one of them who have had the time of their life in college would agree with me.
As someone had once put it "college ke gate ke is paar tum life ko nachate ho... aur gate ke us paar life tumko nachati hai" [literal translation - on one side of the gate the you make your life dance and on the other side the life makes u dance]
We all seem to be lost in this race trying to be in the lead trying to better others and in the process we seem to have missed the track and eventually the finish line.

As i try to figure out where I am currently in the race and where i am heading to, I try to remind myself each day to live life in present
I know we are expected to mature and be more responsible but is it really worth after sacrificing your joy. Somehwere we should strike the balance and that seems to be the secret mantra for a successful person
Alls well that ends well people say but for me alls well that goes well till the end, I mean no one is sure about the end so why live in future - Live in present.

Dream about future, plan for future but not at the cost of present!
"It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right... so why dont we try to have the time of our life in the process"

The GOD of Cricket!!!!

India – the land of a million deities seem to have lost one of them. The god of cricket [a.k.a Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar] - worshiped by each and every Indian who treats cricket as their religion - has suddenly gone missing.
Having grown up being being fanatical about our little champion I pray the little champion has a lot more to offer us. I hope the drums the trumpets start sounding louder and the walls be painted as "The God of Cricket returned"
